Oermann, PhD, RN, ANEF, FAAN, is Thelma M. Ingles Professor of Nursing and Director of Evaluation and Educational Research, Duke University School of Nursing, Durham, NC. She is the author/co-author of 19 nursing education books and many articles on teaching and evaluation in nursing, and on writing for publication. She is Editor of Nurse Educator and Journal of Nursing Care Quality and is past Editor of the Annual Review of Nursing Education. Teresa Shellenbarger, PhD, RN, CNE, ANEF, is Professor and Doctoral Coordinator, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA. Dr. Shellenbarger is an experienced nursing faculty member and administrator. She is widely published and a frequent presenter on nursing education issues such as technology use in education and the faculty role. She currently serves as secretary and member of the Board of Governors of the National League for Nursing. Kathleen B. Gaberson, PhD, RN, CNOR, CNE, ANEF, has 40 years of teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
